Our first YouTube video!

I love watching YouTube videos of all kinds. But I particularly love it when I find projects like ours, ambitious Don Quixote-quests to save old buildings, long renovation projects with a side of existential musing…

And we’ve seen the power of YouTube firsthand. A few wonderful videos from paranormal vlogger and constant friend of the project Garrett Watts still bring people to the building, helping us raise awareness and book tours years after they were first released.

We’ve always wanted to make longer videos, but it’s a commitment! Doing the work of preserving the building and documenting it adds a layer of complexity that can be daunting. This year we’ve decided to take the plunge, and I’ve just posted our first video today. I’m delighted to share this with you:

One big request: if you want to help this new foray into YouTube succeed, save this video and only watch it when you have the time to watch the whole thing. YouTube highly rewards it when people watch a video in its entirety, so it will help the algorithm direct other people to the channel. The video is just over 20 minutes, and I’m confident you’ll enjoy it!

And if it makes you think of someone who would like it, sharing it would mean the world.

Thank you for following along, and for your support in so many ways.
